And it’s only the end of the second week!
OK… Call me stupid… What’s the difference between the Venezuelan gang members that are “supposed” to be in our “blue” cities and the gangs of thugs that the pResident has unleashed upon us? And trust me, these ICE and other Federal Agents that are trampling on our Constitution are nothing more than a gang of blood thirsty thugs. They travel in masked groups. They attack without legitimate, lawful reasons. The amount of damage alone that they are leaving behind is unacceptable. That doesn’t even take into account the pain and injuries they are inflicting on the people… Both alien (legal or not) and citizens alike.
The images coming thru my TV are beginning to give me a sense of deja vu. I mean I’ve been here before… I am still influenced by my memories of 1968. And This is really beginning to feel a lot like that… Right down to the Not Police cracking heads as they try to cause riots to justify Trump-ing up charges of insurrection against the side that didn’t actually try to have an insurrection in 2020.
And lest we forget… We are back in the Regime Change business once again… And the Empire Building-What-The-Fuck. Greenland being the flavor of the week.
I find myself beginning to understand the anger thru right has had for years. Up until a couple of weeks ago I didn’t spend a lot of time keeping up with the latest and greatest outrage from the pResident. But when we invaded Venezuela my habits changed. And now I stay angry all the time as I listen to all the unconstitutional crap that this administration is pulling… and thinking about pulling. I mean shit… Did you folks really vote for this crap? Is this what the last few decades of listening to FOX has done to this country? Half of the country bat-shit angry about things that never happened? Are you folks feeling better now? I know I sure the hell ain’t!
One of the more sane voices I find myself relying on is the historian Heather Cox Richardson, Listening to her is both frightening and somehow calming. Between her and a few other voices on the internets what I am hearing both calms and angers me.
All I can do at this time is pray and wish everyone out there Stays Safe. Stays Strong. And our Democracy Keeps Going!
