Once more… Thunder and Lightning

The stockings are unhung,
The wreath is down from the door,
Decorations have been removed from the tree
and wrapped for another year's hibernation in the attic
And once again, in anticipation of the New Year,
Thunder and Lightning is moving thru our area...

  1. Are you guys ok? I just saw that Mustang Road took quite a hit, and that has to be close to your location. A friend who lives off Algoa-Friendswood is counting her lucky stars, as is a woman I know in Santa Fe. What an afternoon.

    1. We are all fine. We got lucky… the tornado missed us by two miles. My oldest son and daughter both live even closer to the path. But the closest yet was my younger son who lives over your way, he was about a half mile from the path.

All in all it was a very strange weather system. Lightning everywhere but not the overly loud kind in a normal Texas thunderstorm… just low rumbling even as the strikes got closer. And other than the few minutes that the tornado passed the winds were none existent. The heaviest rain was during and right after the tornado.

The elementary school that was hit is where all of my kids and grandkids went to school.
