The world outside my window is dark and gray. Even though the sun is up.. there is no sign of it above the clouds.

Already it is the coldest morning of the winter. But that’s a record that won’t last…. Tomorrow will be colder. And Wednesday will be colder still…

Stepping out on the back porch to take the pictures above.. The only sound I noticed was the constant sigh of the wind and the pines. There were no other sounds.. no traffic on the bypass.. no chickens from around the corner.. no hammers hitting nails from the construction site to the north… Just wind.. sighing.

The weather whisperers are foretelling of a high today of 37° under overcast skies. And, an overnight low of 23°.

My plans for today. Hard to stay indoors and stay warm.. hopefully the texts electrical grid will allow me that pleasure. Fingers crossed…
