As I sit here on the front porch, the temperature is already 59°. The forecasted high is 76°. So yes, we are at the peak of the roller coaster that Texas weather is this time of year.

Saturday morning the low is forecasted to be 36°. Early next week after we climb back up to another peak, we will fall to a low in the mid-20s. A roller coaster ride to be sure

So here I sit on the front porch after the last grandchild has gotten on the bus.. listening to the sounds of hammers coming from just across the way where one of the new subdivisions cul-de-sacs ins behind the house across the street. That cul-de-sac has seven houses going up on it as I sit here. And truthfully it’s maybe 200 yards from my front porch.

The sun is rapidly burning off the morning fog. If anything, that fog is becoming a signature of this new year’s warmer mornings.
