Tuesday September 19th
We dipped into full fall (for SE Texas) weather this morning. When the temperature and the dewpoint both start off in the mid-sixties… the morning just feels right.
When I stepped out to document the morning I saw I already had a chore needing to be done… The hummingbirds had totally emptied one of the feeders already. Last evening late there was still about a cup of sugar water left when I checked before dark.
For some reason the numbers of the little buss bombs swarming around seems higher this year. I swear at times looking out the living room wind it looks like someone took a stick to a hornets nest… I also noticed something else.. usually when the migration hits heavily here the native morning glories are in full bloom. I don’t know if it’s early or if it’s the drought.. but, I am not seeing any morning glories this year.
Time to get busy… I’ll catch y’all on the other side.
