Friday March 24th
It’s a pleasant 71° though a little muggy. By midday the chance of rain starts climbing to near 100%. Radar is already showing a mass of thunderstorms across Central Texas as a front moves our way.
The red oak tree out back, has shown in the above photo, is starting to fill in with baby green leaves. Though it’s hard to see even the bald cypress is beginning to needle out. All of the smaller bald cypresses are fully leafed.
That still leaves the pecan trees looking as bear as midwinter. Though the smaller pecan tree in the front yard, a native pecan by the way, is beginning to leave out. But now that I notice, I am beginning to see buds visible on the large pecan in the front yard. They have not unfurled yet but the promise is there.
Well the bus is coming gone. And the end of the week is near. So, I guess I’ll go have another cup of coffee… Enjoy your Friday, and I’ll catch y’all on the other side.
