It’s the first day of school here. And both grandkids were not as hard to get up this morning as I expected. On this first day of school their mother is taking them. So I don’t have to sit out at the road with them. This years bus schedule has them being picked up an hour apart, not the 15 minutes it was last year. I sure have to wonder if they have a software program to figure routing schedules…

The morning feels more like what I would expect mornings to feel like at this time of the year. The temperature when I got up at 6am was 80 degrees. I didn’t check the humidity, but judging by the condensation on the windows, it must be in the high 90% range. The prognosticators are scaling back their foretelling of rain opportunities for the day.

The house is quiet now. Just me rambling about. And so begins the fall. Once again I can get out and about a bit… I think I’ll hold out for somewhat more moderate weather though.
