It’s overcast outside, 58°. Sometime today, the prognosticators are predicting a 50% chance of precipitation. From the looks of the clouds, they will probably be right.

Once again the birds are celebrating the feeling of spring in the air. Filling the air with their song. I noticed yesterday that the birds visiting the feeders on the back porch come in waves. There will be a dozen or more on the feeders and the ground, then for a while there will be none at all. But when you look out again there’ll be a dozen or more of a different species.

Right about here I could probably go on a 400 – 500 word rant about Republicans and voting rights… But I won’t. I could also go on a 400 to 500 word rant about the state of the infrastructure in Texas… But I won’t. I could also write a bunch of words about the obstructionist Republicans in the federal legislature… But again, I won’t. I will refrain from speaking to the choir, and preaching to the unapologetic. Not much I say will affect either party.

So let me just close by saying this… Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for this nation and the world. Keep wearing your damn mask no matter what the governor of Texas says. And most of us might just come out the other side of this crazy damn world.
