Sunrise is spectacular this morning. The sun coming up behind a thunderstorm over Galveston Bay. The temperature is also not too bad, though the humidity is up a bit this morning.

Cardinals are chirping all over the yard. And hummingbirds dive bomb the feeder trying to claim it as their own. Now a train whistle announces it’s approach to a crossing in town.

More and more they are turning grade crossings into over passes in the area. Especially close to schools. Can’t give the little buggers an excuse to be late.

I must say, at the close of the Democrats party last night, Biden put to rest Trump’s big lie about him… He was articulate, concise, and able to speak in full and complete sentences.

I can hardly wait for the Republican Convention. But, I will admit, that when they start with his alternative facts (lies), I’ll be turning it off. I’ve heard enough of Trump whining over the past four years that I don’t need to spend the week listening to more.

I can only hope that the Republicans have hired someone with some skills… and for God’s sake not whomever the Texas Republicans had doing their Convention.
