Let’s just come to an agreement right here, right now, that unless I comment to the contrary, it’s just hot and humid. It’s summer south of Houston, Texas after all.
At least, there’s a decent breeze making the wind chimes sing. That’s also keeping our new crop of mosquitoes off my skin. I swear the mosquitoes are on a calendar. They always get bad around the 4th of July.
As the pandemic barrels along, none of our government “leaders” wants to piss of their crazy base by mandating the wearing of facial masks. God help them if the abridge the freedom of their crazy base to make me sick. Though, happily, more and more retail establishments are taking the initiative to do it themselves.
Face masks, who would of thought that not wearing something so benign would become a political statement. I saw a Facebook post yesterday about a bunch of folks protesting Governor Abbott because he closed down bars last week… not a facemask in the crowd… no social distancing either.
I’ve reached the end of another muse, and the cup is running low. Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and squeeze some joy out of life today. As they say, if it’s all lemons make some lemncella. Everything’s better with a little alcohol…
