The sun is just clearing the eastern horizon as I sit down with my morning coffee. First lighting the tops of the trees before slowly moving down the trunks.
The air is cool and damp… wisps of almost fog visible here and there before the sunlight runs them off. The entire visible sky is clear blue above the green world.
Somewhere, way off, crows are kawing. Closer to home, it’s the chirping of the cardinals that fill the air. A woodpecker calls down along the bayou. While up in the pines a blue jay is jaying.
High up in the sky a jet is leaving a double line of white across the clear blue heading southeast to parts unknown. While closer to the ground a single engine plane is curving off to the southwest.
It’s amazing, how green everything still looks. That really is a fine shot of your yard, and those glorious trees.
Thanks Linda. This year has been remarkably green.
