Warmer With Clouds Coming In Off The Gulf Morning Coffee Muses

There’s a warmth blowing in off the Gulf of Mexico today. Clouds sailing north on the winds. Stormy weather heading somewhere else.

I am trying not to post about the political state of the nation, but a headline this morning caught my eye… Putin offering to release records of Trump’s conversations with the Russian Ambassador if the White House agrees. Could this be a veiled threat aimed at Trump?

You would think the man could catch a break, but that would require him to shut up and lead. And leadership was not a class he ever studied. It’s a sad thing when a man’s own words are what keeps getting him in so much trouble, the con-man being held to account on his own words. Sadly, his words were enough to convince his base that he would do what he promised. Had they done more than just listen, had they looked at his history, had they believed anyone other than Fox News, they might have discovered that the Conman in Chief has a history of broken promises.
