Almost Perfect Back Porch Morning Coffee Muses
The prognosticators had foretold of clouds in my future, and by the time I uploaded the photo above and began to write these words the clouds came blowing in from the east-northeast. Now the nice cool breeze is becoming blustery. But the morning is still almost perfect.
This morning it’s a blue jay day… Small flocks of the noisy birds are flying back and forth everywhere. They are almost drowning out all other bird sounds… awww, there’s a cardinal now…
I managed to get the Deere to run the circles of the yard yesterday. You know, when I first mow I like the look… freshly shorn, neat, green. But, as time goes by and the spring “weeds” start to flower, I really like the meadow look. That is until it reaches that certain just uncut yard look and I begin to get antsy to ride the Deere again.
I’ve decided this spring I’ll stop mowing the half moon on the neighbors property. After five years of mowing jus a bit more each year, I figure I should get used to my property line since they’ll be building a house there this year.
