You never know where a thought may lead… I was reading my Facebook feed this morning and saw a post from Texas Music TV…

When Pat mentioned that the song was from Jon Randall, It led me to a song I’ve loved for a while… Carolina Moon by Jon. Googling around for that song I found this version featuring Allison Krauss…

After I shared a link to Jon’s version of the above song on my Facebook page for Appalachian Mountain Dreams, Then I saw a link for this off in the “Up Next” list:

So now we’ve come full circle, Pat Green singing a Jon Randall song about Texas to a Jon Randall song covered by Scotty McCreery with Allison Krauss about North Carolina to Allison and Jerry Douglas covering a James Taylor song about North Carolina… And since I was posting on my Appalachian Mountain Dreams page, I decided to search for any songs about the Green Mountains of Vermont. That led me to…

Now the funny thing about this is.., I recognized Slaid Cleaves… But I couldn’t remember from where… Then over in the  “Up Next” list again and there it was… The whole reason I remembered Slaid… I even posted about in the lost years (the part of this site that got totally lost)…

And now I’ve led you down the same path I walked this morning… From Texas to North Carolina To Vermont and right back to Texas. And done all in song… I hope you enjoyed the trip. I know I did.
