Is George Will begining to perfer Obama?

It is arguable that, because of his inexperience, Obama is not ready for the presidency. It is arguable that McCain, because of his boiling moralism and bottomless reservoir of certitudes, is not suited to the presidency. Unreadiness can be corrected, although perhaps at great cost, by experience. Can a dismaying temperament be fixed?

It almost sounds thatr way to me…

  1. Hi. I read a few of your other posts and wanted to know if you would be interested in exchanging blogroll links?

  2. Hello. I was reading someone elses blog and saw you on their blogroll. Would you be interested in exchanging blog roll links? If so, feel free to email me.

    Thanks.

  3. Last evening’s debate showed a calm and collective McCain revealing the naive and inexperienced Obama to the country while simultaneously engaging in this week’s national financial crisis. This is the kind of leadership America needs – someone who doesn’t wait to get invited to address national dilemmas or is afraid to stop debate prepping for his own aggrandizement.

Regardless of who you’re voting for, McCain looked strong and sounded sharp and ready to lead Friday night. Obama was poised, but he looked as if he sounded as if he was entitled to a position where the requirements are out of his reach at this point in his career.

  4. Jim, why do you keep reading and commenting here? You know we will never agree on the issues, the reality, or the outcome.

I watched the debate last night and did not see what you saw. Just goes to prove the old “glass half full/empty” saying. We can look at the same thing and see the total opposite.

If the past week showed me anything it was that McCain is running for President and will do and say anything to get there. McCain flip flopped on every side of the financial crisis…Pretty much gives you quotes to use no matter what the final outcome is. But leadership? Give me a break. But you are right about one thing…He did stop debate prep to insert himself into a negotiation that he hadn’t participated in up until the polls showed he was losing ground to Obama on the financial crisis…Pretty much a hope of “aggrandizement” if not the reality.

I have concluded in the past decade that if you want the to know what the Republican candidate is afraid of you finding out about them, just see what they are claiming their opponent is or has done. Most likely the charge is being leveled to provide cover when the story comes out about their own past.

What the hell is it with you guys and entitlements? You are against Obama because he appears to think he is entitled! What is that…He looks poised and self assured so he can’t be sincere?

I hate to break it to ya, but, I never bought into the story line that George W was someone I’d like to sit down and have a beer with. I am not looking for a drinking buddy. I am looking for a President to be poised and assured when the shit hits the fan…I’ll take Obama any day over McCain and his gut instinct.
