It’s still cool on the back porch, even as the sun peaks through the mostly clouded sky. There is a front sitting right on top of my house. Sadly “cool” fronts at this time of year aren’t really very cool.

sun after rain

Once we get past all of the rain we will have to live in the steam bath southeast Texas will become for the next few weeks.

But, silver lining, it’s greener than I can remember it being in a while.

It’s breakfast time… and I could use another cup of coffee.

  1. And don’t forget all of the mosquito larvae that have been washed to sea. That won’t last long, either, but every reprieve counts.

    1. Sadly, I don’t think the mosquito larvae around me have washed very far. Standing water almost everywhere you look means they will rebound before we know it. My problem is all of the storms and water have slowed my internet to a crawl. I’ll give Comcast a day or two more before I start the long drawn out process of getting through to someone who can do something about the problem.
