Take a more complete look at one of the sermons that have been clipped for use against Pastor Wright…
Being raised as a Southern Baptist in Texas I felt right at home. Fire and brimstone preaching was what I was raised on.

Gary, please let me know which Southern Baptist preacher ever wished God to damn his country? Wright’s extremism and Obama’s relation to him tells me that Obama has little chance of becoming President and IMO for good reason.

You would have liked ‘em. Baptist preachers who preach hell and damnation at a 17 year old boy all because his hair was longer than they liked…Well the hair is in a ponytail again and I’m still turning the other cheek.
So have a great day…And BTW, I’ll take Obama any day after having Bush in my life for a over a decade.

An interesting headline today…..”Obama Disowns Pastor”. Clearly Obama would not have done this had not Wright’s comments been completely inappropriate for someone seeking the White House.
Then again, one has to think that Obama would have done so earlier if he really had a problem with Wright. So, is this a political ploy to bring in the votes in NC or to pre-empt any future debate? He did the right thing, but not as timely as it could have been done. Now, if he would have or maybe still could just be pressured to reverse his views on taxes and gun control, then he’d win the nation by a landslide.
