Saturday, December Eighth

It rained most of the night and now it feels like fall again for this Saturday morning coffee muses.

The temperature is in the low fifties, the wind is out of the north, and the skies are gray and mottled. Blue jays are fussing at each other about the morning.

Staring at the red oak and it’s fringe of leaves, just let’s me know the season has moved on.

See… just a ghost of the tree it was a week ago.

I can hear birds cheeping about the yard, but they are staying hidden as best they can from the wind.

At the top of this page as I type my muses is a notice that WordPress 5.0 is available, please update now… And for the first time in over a decade, I find myself conflicted about the update. The designers of this update are acting just like designers I’ve known just about everywhere, and they are designing to fix a problem of their own imagination.

From everything I’ve read, their design changes make it harder for me to do what I do on these pages. So, for now at least, I’ll sit these round of “updates” out… thanks for nothing Matt.
