After months of fighting with signal strengths on the different televisions scatered around the house I was already starting to dread the day when a analog signal was no longer available as a backup. So this morning as I sat with my first cup of coffee I switched on the tv in the kitchen with the sound down low so I could catch the official flip of the switch. I was interested to see what would happen as my wife is not happy if she doesn’t have her daily soap waiting. When the sound went dead I glanced up, the notice on the screen said no signal…Time to rescan…On three different recievers.
What did I notice once the scans were complete? The signals that had been fading in and out for months now seemed good and strong. On the big TV in the living room PBS was once again available. I had given up on my Fridays with PBS a few months back because when I adjusted the antenna to pull in our local station I would mess up the soap opera recording…It just wasn’t worth the effort.
Another interesting effect…I seem to be picking up San Antonio Channel 4 if I stand just right in the kitchen…At least for a little while, very early in the morning. I’ll have to check it again later.
